Sexual Harrasment

Sexual and Other Forms of Harassment
The Commission is committed to maintaining a working environment that is free from sexual and all other forms of harassment or intimidation.
The Commission will not condone or permit any employee to make unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or engage in other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature. In addition, the Commission will not condone or permit any actions, words, jokes, or comments based on an individual’s gender, race, ethnicity, age, religion or any other legally-protected characteristic. These are serious violations of policy, and they may also violate Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended.
If any person subjects you to sexual or any other form of harassment or intimidation, you should immediately contact the Executive Director or the Commission Chairman.
The Executive Director and/or the Commission Chairman will make a prompt and confidential investigation of all complaints about sexual and other forms of harassment or intimidation.
Any employee who violates this policy is subject to appropriate action by the Commission up to and including discharge.
