Country Music Traditionalist Jett Williams Returns to Red Stick
In a world full of Auto-Tuned radio hits created by "artists" who rely on lip-synching in order to perform "live" on stage in front of audiences, you can be certain of hearing the real thing when attending a concert by singer Jett Williams. She is as authentic in her singing as her father, Hank Williams, Sr., one of the founding fathers of country music. A veteran performer now in her own right, Williams keeps her father's musical legacy and country traditionalism alive and well. After a long absence, she will return to Baton Rouge and the USS KIDD as the headline act for the Fourth of July Star-Spangled Celebration in 2011.
Williams' discography includes I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry, That Reminds Me of Hank (1995), You Are On My Lonely Mind (1999), and her latest entitled Honk! (2008).

Na Na Sha |
Local artists Na Na Sha have been performing throughout the South since 1984. Rife with blue suede shoes, pompadours, and shoo bop, this band brings back the nostalgia of the 50s with a vengeance. You can be certain of dancing the night away with the likes of Pat the Cat, The Kid, and Bee Bop! |
They say no one takes the train anymore, but local group Westbound Train would dispute that allegation. Consisting of veteran Baton Rouge musicians Dale Craft, James Taylor, Brian Dubreuil, Alan Berteau, Rick Price, Kelly Hannan, Brian Andrews, and vocalist Anita LeBlanc, the Train draws its influences from a wide musical palette. |
