The Seal of the State of Louisiana

Louisiana's Military Heritage:

Sons & Daughters of the State

The Louisiana state flag

The individuals listed below include sons and daughters of Louisiana whose military careers have stood out over time for one reason or another.  Some are recognized in our Louisiana Veterans Hall of Honor here at the museum in Baton Rouge.  Most are native-born Louisiana citizens with very few exceptions.  There are far too many personnel deserving of recognition to include in this limited setting, but from the lowest private to the highest general or admiral, we attempt to honor them all and acknowledge their service and sacrifice.
