SPIRIT OF LOUISIANA

Following a tradition similar to that of the Navy's penchant for naming the fleet's capitol ships after the states of the Union, the U.S. Air Force has begun naming its fleet of Stealth bombers in the same fashion.  The SPIRIT OF LOUISIANA (AV-21) is the 21st and—currently—last of the Air Force's B-2A Spirit bomber program.  She is part of the 509th Bomb Wing and is stationed out of Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri.
